Auditorium Santo Stefano al Ponte
In the heart of Florence, near to Ponte Vecchio, here stands the magnificent deconsecrated church of Santo Stefano al Ponte, one among the oldest in Florence, whose first mention was in 1116. At the interior is possible to admire the beautiful staircase, with marble balustrade, realized in 1574 by the famous architect Giambologna.
The atmosphere out of the times, the harmony of the architectonical structures and the amazing acoustics of the place, makes of this an unique venue to be able to live an unforgettable immersive experience.
In 2015 Santo Stefano al Ponte was reopened to the public by Santo Stefano Ltd, a subsidiary of C&T Crossmedia Group, as a multifunctional venue and, in particular, as a space for immersive multimedia exhibitions.
The choice has been to aim for the creation of an innovative venue for the Florentine offer of features, presenting daily a cultural entertainment, spectacular and exciting.
In the first twelve months of work - thanks to the large number of visitors obtained from exhibitions Van Gogh Alive, Da Vinci Alive and Body Worlds - has been recorded more than 200,000 visitors.
The exhibition-show Incredible Florence, scheduled each year from April to October until 2020, is the natural continuation of these successes. In the multipurpose space of the former church is also each evening staged a rich and qualitative program of musical and theatrical works - 8:30 p.m./10.30 p.m.
Santo Stefano al Ponte is fully accessible for the disabled, wireless free to all visitors - in the crypt are set a didactic area and the bookshop.
Capacity: Main Hall 320 people
